2008 has a higher speed for starting than 2007.

Pls, Be advised.
Autocad 2008 is available on DVD and CD, two different versions. DVD contains both 64 and 32 bit autocad 2008. while CD just has 32bit autocad 2008.
If your operating system is 32 bit (no matter which one it is, xp or vista), you may install autocad 32 ( a few users met some issues, anyway it can be solved properly). otherwise you must get 64bit autocad (DVD) to set up in your operating system (64bit).
YOu can't install 64bit autocad on 32bit operating system or 32bit autocad on 64bit system.
